Monitra Ltd has an exciting opportunity, based in our head office in Manchester, UK for an experienced Project Manager.  

The successful candidate will be working alongside multi-disciplined teams to manage and deliver global condition monitoring installation projects.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • End to end delivery of condition monitoring system installation projects
  • Driving complex projects and developing project organisation, planning and control standards
  • Leading projects kick off meetings
  • Agreeing time scales, costs, resources and delivery schedules with clients
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on schedule
  • Supporting the management and coordination of technical drawings and documentation
  • Working with the commercial, engineering and production teams to advise on contract requirements and deliverables
  • Acting as point of contact for customers
  • Planning and coordinating delivery activities with other departments as required
  • Reporting regularly to the client, stakeholders and senior management team

All staff are expected to work to company procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements

The candidate must have:

  • 3 years+ experience in engineering project management
  • HND or degree in engineering or related discipline
  • Electrical installation experience, e.g. cabinet fabrication, LV wiring, cable tray work
  • Experience of delivering projects to large electricity users and OEMs
  • Experience working as subcontractor on newbuild infrastructure projects
  • Experience reviewing electrical and mechanical installation drawings
  • Budget and cost control experience
  • Experience in contract and T&C review
  • Contract management experience
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Enthusiastic, tenacious and possessing excellent communication skills
  • Experience working to ISO 9001,45001,14001 standards

Desirable Skills

  • An interest in electrical engineering and the electricity supply industry
  • Experience with using project management software
  • Knowledge of high voltage plant design and construction
