Role and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Purchasing all raw materials and components needed to manufacture our range of products
- Providing updates regarding availability of materials and expedite / change suppliers where necessary
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records within CIM50
- Researching, analysing, and forecasting current and future buying trends in conjunction with the Production Manager
- Working closely with the Commercial and Production Managers on scheduling plan within CIM50
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers
- Supplier Performance Management - Completing supplier reviews and audits as necessary
- Working alongside Development team on sourcing material for new product development and re-works
- Overseeing and maintaining inventory including; stock take, monthly reports on WIP, stock valuation
- Communication across various teams
- Supporting for shipping as required (to cover sickness, holidays, busy periods)
- Supporting SHEQ team as required
- Continual improvement of procedures in the Purchasing and Production departments
- All other ad hoc duties as assigned
The role will be office-based, with occasional working from home possible after probationary period.
Full training on our products and services will be provided.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with SAGE 50c and/or CIM packages
- 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing background, ideally electronics / engineering
- Good Negotiation skills
- Good working knowledge of Mircosoft package; Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
