Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

Senior Applications Engineer for on-line and offline high voltage testing
PD Specialist resource across the company
Providing applied engineering and technical support/advice for worldwide customers and colleagues
Executing and leading challenging insulation condition test projects for MV and HV assets using on-line and offline techniques
Interpreting specifications and customer’s technical requirements/enquiries
Producing, reviewing and approving PD data analysis
Providing diagnostic advice to users of condition monitoring technology
Producing test procedures, liaising with customers to plan test schedules
Knowledge dissemination for high voltage testing within the company
Acting as ambassador for Monitra at trade organisations/conferences (e.g. IEEE, CIGRE, etc.) by writing and presenting technical papers, case studies, demonstrating equipment and involvement in associated committees
Mentorship and training of engineers and technicians

Full training on our products and procedures will be provided.

All staff are expected to always work to Company procedures.

Essential Requirements

A degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) and 5+ years in service experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA, be willing to travel and be in commutable distance of our office in Houston.
Expert knowledge of HV testing techniques.
Knowledge of safety precautions related to working with HV electrical equipment.
Self-management of assigned projects and ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
Strong computer skills including report writing.
